Student Health
Please be sure to keep your children home if they are feeling ill or displaying symptoms of the flu. Also, children should be free of a fever for 24 hours before returning to school. This will help in preventing the spread of illness. Thank you to everyone for helping to keep our students and school community healthy.
As we enter the cooler months where people gather in closed quarters, the incidence of spreadable conditions tends to increase. Families may be interested in resources and community health information provided by the Oakland County Health Division and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. OCHD public health officials offer a variety of resources to increase awareness and prevention measures at home.
Common conditions may include: influenza; lice; hand, foot and mouth disease; strep throat; and others.
Additional information is available from the OCHD and MDHHS.
If your child exhibits concerning symptoms, please seek medical attention as appropriate.
